My Other Engines
Here are some of the other model engines that I have built over the years, I will update this page with more photos and information when I get the time to do so.

Here is a photo of all my engines I have made up until 2019
Half Beam Grasshopper Engine
I made this engine in 2020 during the long summer lockdown, it was based on a grasshopper engine design I had seen by Bob Middleton, but it became very much an experimental design as I wanted to raise the height of the flywheel so that it sat above the baseplate, this was achieved by making a set of module 1 gears, to allow this to happen, and was my first experimental attempt at gear cutting on the milling machine. It powers a small DC generator for charging an electric vehicle. The engine has a lovely action when running, but I certainly made a few small design errors along the way, but this is what teaches us to be better next time. Please take the time to watch the video on youtube, and see the electric vehicle on charge.
The Big Beam Engine
I made this engine in back in 2018 as I have always been fascinated by beam engines, and have visited many of these historic machines around the UK, so decided to make one for myself. I bought a 10 inch cast iron flywheel and then worked from there to get a proportionally scaled engine to suit. The entire engine was built from bar stock aluminium and brass components, and parts were designed as required as the build progressed. I have a couple of videos on the engine, and some further modifications I added later, so please watch the videos and enjoy this lovely engine.
